In our neighborhood, there's a message that's broadcasted over a loudspeaker every day around 1:30pm.  It's probably advertising some fruit or requesting that people come into a certain restaurant or maybe even voicing some religious information.  Whatever it is - it's in Korean.  And to E and me, it sounds like a militant Communist propaganda communique.

I write this as the recording echoes throughout the block and into our hobbit hole.  "Great.  The daily Communist brainwashing has begun."  One day last week, we heard a guy begin yelling something in Korean.  It was kind of funny, because all of a sudden, the communique stopped.  Perhaps the guy was yelling at something else and it was simply a coincidence.  Or maybe the guy couldn't take the Communist brainwashing anymore.

  1. it probably is just a fruit or veggie truck vendor. it's more like the daily Capitalist brainwashing has begun... "buy these apples! 1,000 won! buy these apples!" ~lol~
